Please Be Aware, "J.Anette's on Rt 42 in Cincinnati" delivered the WRONG wedding cake to my daughters reception last Friday July 17, 2009. My daughter ordered and paid $553.75 for a four tier traditional white wedding cake with white icing, each layer was to be encircled with white roses with every other layer having a grouping of roses, small "paw" print design was to scattered on the face of each layer. Well sitting on her cake table when I, the Mother of the Bride arrived at the Hall was a three tiered ugly orange flowered cookies and creme cheese cake right in the middle of her beautiful purple and blue hydrangea decorations! Long story short, My daughter was real upset, we did damage control before she was announced, she gracefully served "Ugly Surprise Cake" to her guests, rejected the whole cake ceremony almost entirely and tried to not let this spoil her night. How do you get this WRONG? A Name, a Location, A Cake! The next morning she went and told them what happened and was treated rudely, they only wanted to give 1/2 her money back. They seemed more concerned for the Bride that just received my daughters cake which they bragged was beautiful, instead of her cheese cake. They even called my daughter by mistake when she was in her car thinking she was the other bride to tell her they just delivered the wrong cake. Her father called them and said we only wanted a full refund and they should be counting their lucky stars since they screwed up two Brides orders, they hung up on him. Seriously...No compassion for my daughter she was calm, cool collected.....So to the Bride that had an Orange and Brown wedding July 18...contact us we may file small claims on them since we have yet to see a check from them! Other Brides Please Confirm your order and delivery the day of the wedding, Get an after hours emergency number and DONT use Jannettes....word of mouth can make or break a business....this isn't a do over! How dare you lady!

That is very sad I am very sorry to hear that your perfect day turned into a big disaster. you are right you can not turn back the time to redue. I hope every thing works out. Another suggestion is have some one that knows what the cake is to look like the day before the weeding and make sure that it is the correct cake and verify where it is to go. I just want to thank you for that adivce even though I am not in that state. This is going to be my first wedding and we all can learn from bad experinces. Let your daughter know that I hope that every thing else went well and congrates.
