Looking for Reception Halls w/ cooking facilities in the Richmond Area

Does anyone know of any halls that have cooking facilities? Our close friend has offered to prepare the reception buffet, but finding someplace with a kitchen would make his job so much easier. Let me know if anyone has any ideas! Thanks Laurie

My father got married (second wedding) in Richmond during the early 90s. My step mothers family cooked the meal. They had their reception at a Baptist Church on Williamsburg Road. Have you considered finding a church?

Most churches have facilities. My experience is that most halls either a) won't allow outside food or b) will allow outside food, but won't allow you to prepare the food at their facility due to liability/insurance considerations.

If you want the name of the church, let me know I will ask him.

Another idea is to prepare the food at home and bring it. When you use an outside caterer, they prepare the food and bring it to the venue. That would give you more options for finding a venue since many venues allow outside caterers.

I meant most churches have kitchens, not just facilities.

Another idea is an outdoor wedding and bring a grill or cooking items to make the meal on-site.
