This is my 1st wedding, it is supposed to take place in September and I am already overwhelmed. Trying to find an inexpensive location, cake, dresses, caterer's..... and just the money to pay for it all... OMG, I'm 2 steps from just going to the courthouse.

I completely understand! My wedding is not until October 2010 and I am ready to pull my hair out as well. I am trying to go to as many free consultations with event planners and vendors as I can to get a real feel for what I am trying to do. And weddings in the Baltimore area are NOT cheap. But on my very slim budget, I am trying to make everything look very classy for very little money!

Be patient...I know it is hard...I am also on a tight budget....I have mentioned this to a lot of people...I got a photographer for free..I went to my local college and got help from students who need pics for profiles or jobs....some...not all are good...if you did do this just ask for samples....also, if you dont mind fake flowers try doing your own bouquets...and center peices..I am going to the dollar store..getting a few glass jars...putting in some floating candles...cheap and pretty....there are ways to get it done...Just may take some patience and some craftiness.

I am right along with Tray and Tiffany it is stressful just because you are trying to work out a budget
I changed my date from April to May to October and back to April and now i don't know when to have it. I want to find the prices for everything and decide when can i actually set a date and stick to it. My plans changes daily where my mind is not made up. I found a place for the wedding but trying to find a hall without catering that is nice is hard to find. The halls I found are beautiful they just cost to much after adding catering. My family can cook the food. I was thinking a small wedding cake and pass out cake from antoher inexpensive store.

with the economy we all working on a budget i'm glad i'm not alone
